Toucan Eco lets you make your own multipurpose disinfectant cleaner from just water, salt and electricity that kills up to 99.999% of microorganisms.

It’s eco-friendly, effective and safe, and replaces most chemical cleaners and the single use plastic bottles they are supplied in.

How it works


The solution is electrochemically activated by applying a small, electrical current using a specialised electrolysis cell.


This recombines the naturally occurring elements of hydrogen, oxygen and chlorine into hypochlorous acid (HOCl), an effective disinfectant, and sodium, oxygen and chlorine into sodium hypochlorite (NaClO), at a low concentration and mild pH level that acts as a gentle cleaning agent.

Shelf Life

After 7 days, the solution reverts back to slightly salty water. You simply make more!

How to use

Spray, wipe or mop

To use, simply spray, wipe or mop any surface, including glass and fabrics as part of your normal cleaning practices.

Apply as a mist

It also works as a deodoriser leaving a faint swimming pool fragrance, you can apply it as a mist for disinfecting large areas and it’s great for scrubber dryers.

And repeat

Once you’ve run out or before the solution reverts back to salty water – you simply make more.
